대학생 글쓰기 기초를 위한 문법 진단 평가 분석 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 대학생들의 글쓰기를 위한 기초 문법 수준을 확인하고 이를 통하여 대학에서의 문법 지도의 방향성을 고려하는 데 연구의 목적을 가진다. 이를 위해 대학생을 대상으로 국어 글쓰기를 위한 기초 문법의 수준이 어느 정도인지를 알아보는 진단 평가를 시행하고 그 내용을 분석하였다. 이와 관련하여 학습자 쓰기 수준의 특성을 고려하여 쓰기 수준을 설정하고 대학생의 글쓰기와 문법 기초 진단을 위한 진단 평가 도구를 작성하였다. 분석의 결과로, 쓰기와 문법 기초의 내용 영역 특성별·성별·계열별 등으로 글쓰기를 위한 문법 수준의 차이가 있음을 지적하고, 정답률에 따른 주요 문항의 내용을 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 이와 같은 진단 평가 결과 분석을 통해 학습자 쓰기 수준을 판정하고 각 수준에 따른 문법 지도의 주안점을 제시하였으며, 아울러 진단 평가의 결과적 특성을 고려하면서 글쓰기 기초를 위한 문법 지도의 방향성에 대하여, 실용적 관점에서 정확한 표현 및 표기의 강조, 교수·학습의 실제에서 구체적이고 구조적인 자료를 중심으로 한 통합적 지도와 영역 독자적 지도의 균형 있는 교수 학습 방안 요구, 대학생의 문법 기초 수준차를 고려한 계열별 차별화된 지도의 요구 등을 제안하였다. 문법은 대학생들에게 필요한 실용적 지식이며 나아가서는 이를 바탕으로 글쓰기의 습관이나 쓰기 수준의 토대가 될 수 있기 때문에 학습자 수준의 조건을 고려한 구체적이고 효율적인 지도가 요구된다.

The aim of this study was to check the grammar abilities of college students who learn writing & grammar and to provide guidance regarding the Universitys grammar instruction methods. We conducted grammar evaluations of college students who learn writing & grammar by having these students analyze the contents of an article. We then examined the results of these tests. We evaluated the students writing steps to determine each students respective writing level, then created questions to evaluate the grammar skills of the college students involved in this study. The results of our research showed that differences in writing and grammar abilities amongst college students were influenced by gender and by the academic department to which each student belongs. We analyzed the main questions of our study according to the percentage of correct answers for each student. After analyzing our results, we provided concrete directions for future methods of basic grammar and writing education. We suggested that it is important to emphasize accurate expressions from a practical standpoint; to conduct balanced, integrated, and independent instruction for teaching and learning; and to provide a customized education experience according to each individuals academic department.
