Ishiharas popularity originates from the Japanese masses catharsis on his selfexpression. Since it is difficult for the ordinary Japanese to express their own desires, Ishiharas unrestrained self-expression and desire to destroy the established system has given a feeling of pseudo satisfaction to the Japanese masses. However, his excessive criticism on the established system has become the core factor of his marginal status in the Japanese political system.
