Abstract
Historically, medical education in United States and Korea have very distinctive background. However as US medical education is globally leading the trends especially in integrating the basic and clinical medicine, instructional methods as well as evaluation which Korean medical education tends to ride the drift. This article focus on introducing US four year medical education system, integrated curriculum, teaching strategies including PBL and simulation, and evaluation methods such as USMLE and accreditation.
