dc.description.abstractIn this paper, a strategy to identify the system inertia under periodic load torque disturbance is proposed. The effect of the periodic load torque on the inertia identification using integration is analyzed. Based on the analysis, control strategy to reduce the effect of periodic load torque disturbance is proposed. By properly selecting the frequency of the speed profile and the duration of the integration time, the inertia can be accurately estimated in a reasonable time. The proposed method is verified through simulations and experiments for a washing machine where the disturbance of load torque occurs periodically.-
