We present a 10MHz buck converter with enhanced light load efficiency achieved by combining time-based PWM control with PFM. The proposed seamless transition technique provides additional degree of freedom to extend high efficiency regime across a wider range of load current. Fabricated in a 65nm CMOS, the prototype achieves 90% peak efficiency and > 80% efficiency over I-LOAD range of 2mA to 800mA. V-O changes by less than 40mV during PWM to PFM transitions.-
