소설에 대한 학습자의 자기 인식 연구

Abstract

이 연구는 소설 교육에서 태도에 대한 연구의 현황과 문제점에 대한 논 의를 바탕으로, 작용태로서 태도를 재조명하고 소설 교육에서 태도 교육 설계를 위한 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이 연구에서는 교육과정에서 제시 된 태도 개념 중 문학의 생활화에 초점을 맞추어, 학습자들에게 체화된 태도로서의 아비투스 양상을 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 교육적 시사점을 도출하려 한다. 이 연구에서는 문학교육 연구의 장 안에서 그간 이루어진 태도 관련 연 구들이 가지는 태도에 대한 결과론적 시각이 문학교육의 장에서 태도 개념의 소외를 야기했다는 문제의식을 바탕으로, 태도를 보다 실천적이고 역동적으로 파악하기 위해 내면화되고 체화된 태도로서의 문학의 생활화 개념에 주목하며, 이를 구체화하여 포착하기 위하여 부르디외의 아비투스 개념을 원용하였다. 먼저 아비투스 개념을 바탕으로 소설 교육이 이루어지는 장을 가정의 영역, 교육의 영역, 온라인의 영역, 또래문화의 영역으로 나누고 각 영역 이 소설 교육의 장 안에서 어떠한 위상을 가지고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 그리고 그 영역 안에서 주체들이 취향과 태도를 형성하는 기반이 되는 자원으로 지식 자원, 심리적 자원, 사회적 자원을 설정하였고, 이 세 가지 자원의 양과 분포에 따라 학습자 집단을 구별하였다. 소설 교육의 장 안에서 학습자를 상위 집단, 중간 집단, 하위 집단으로 구별하였으며, 중간 집단은 다시 교육적 중간 집단, 독립적 중간 집단, 직관적 중간 집단, 사회적 중간 집단으로 나누었다. 본 연구에서는 학습 자가 작성한 설문지에 대한 분석을 통해, 실제 소설 교육의 장 안에서 해당 집단의 정체성이 어떻게 구성되며, 어떠한 취향과 태도로 발현되는지를 살펴보았다. 이를 바탕으로 객관적 영역으로서의 장과 자원에 기반한 학습자의 취향이 주관적 영역으로서의 학습자 태도 형성에 미치는 복합적인 영향들을 통계적으로 분석하였다. 이 연구는 태도에 대한 결과론적인 관점을 벗어나 소설 읽기에 대한 동기부여에서 내면화까지 전 과정에 포괄적으로 영향을 미치는 정신 작용으 로서 태도를 조명하고 학습자 중심의 성찰적 읽기 교육을 지향한다는 점에서 교육적 의의를 가진다. 주요어 : 소설 교육, 태도 교육, 문학의 생활화, 학습자의 자기인식, 아비투스 학번 : 2009-31022

Based on the discussion of the current status and problems of research on attitude in novel education, this study seeks to reexamine attitude as an working state and suggest a direction for plannig attitude education in novel education. this study focus on the practising literature among the attitude concepts presented in the curriculum, examine the aspects of habitus as an embodied attitude in learners, and draw educational implications based on this. In this study, based on the critical awareness that the consequentialist view of attitude in attitude-related studies conducted so far in the field of literature education research has caused the alienation of the concept of attitude in the field of literature education, I aim to understand attitude in a more practical and dynamic way. For this purpose, attention was paid to the concept of 'practising literature' as an internalized and embodied attitude, and Bourdieu's concept of habitus was used to specify and capture this. First, based on the concept of habitus, we divided the field where novel education takes place into the home field, the field of education, the online field, and the field of peer culture and examined the status of each field within the field of novel education. And within that domain, knowledge resources, psychological resources, and social resources were set as the resources that serve as the basis for subjects forming their tastes and attitudes, and learner groups were distinguished according to the amount and distribution of these three resources. Within the field of novel education, learners were divided into upper, middle, and lower groups, and the middle group was further divided into educational middle group, independent middle group, intuitive middle group, and social middle group. In this study, through analysis of questionnaires filled out by learners, we looked at how the identity of the group is constructed in the actual novel education field and what tastes and attitudes are expressed. Based on this, the complex effects of learners' tastes based on fields and resources as an objective domain on the formation of learner attitudes as a subjective domain were statistically analyzed. This study has educational significance in that it goes beyond the consequentialist perspective on attitude and illuminates attitude as a mental action that comprehensively affects the entire process from motivation to internalization of novel reading, and aims for learner-centered reflective reading education.
