접속사 For 의 품사 구분에 관하여

Abstract

본 논문은 접속사로서의 for의 특성을 고찰하고 둥위 접속사인지 종 속 접속사인지의 여부를 규명함을 목표로 삼는다. 문법학자들 사이에는 for를 coordinate conjunction으로 분류하는데 and, or, but와는 판이 하 게 다른 성질을 지녔음에도 이를 무비판적으로 찬성한다. H. Poutsma 는 다음과 같이 서술하고 있다. The connexion of the members of a compound sentence or group of clauses, or of the parts of a compound element of a sentence or clause, mayor may not be indicated by conjunctives. There are two kinds of co-ordinative conjunctives: a) conjunctions, i. e. mere link-words, standing between the members or parts linked together, but belonging to no member or part in particular. The only co-ordinative conjunctions are aπd, nor, but, or and for···. H. Poutsma는 for를 등위 접속사로 규정한 후 이를 causal conjunction 이라고 이름지었다.
