Pilot and Traffic based Channel Estimation for DS/CDMA Systems

Abstract

A scheme for channel impulse response estimation is proposed for next generation DS/CDMA systems where a pilot channel is simultaneously transmitted with traffic channel in the reverse link. Through analysis and simulation, the proposed scheme is found to significantly improve channel estimation accuracy and BER performance.
