We evaluate the average Bit Error Rate (BER) for
a common channel over which a receiver with a single antenna
receives the same signals synchronously transmitted by two
transmitters. The numerical analysis results demonstrate that the
common channel is not always beneficial. It implies that common
channel should be carefully utilized depending on its fading type.
