- Abstract
- In this article, I have examined the poems of Kim Young-rang(金永郞), focusing on the meaning of pursuit of beauty. Up to the present, the existing valuations for it were opposed to an extreme. This problem is concerned in a pair of philosophical opposition like as beauty/ethics, the subject/the object, etc. I scrutinized this dichotomy.
I kept an eye on the paradox and the power of sensation in his poems which could overcome those dichotomy. In Young-rang(永郞)"s poems, the sensation did not cast an anchor in subjective isolation, but it was a field of vivid communication between the subject and the world and it was a field of a phenomenon in which original powers of our life exist. And I paid attention to the structure of paradox in which the sensibility-perceptional meaning-element and the ascendant meaning-element were join.
These sensation and paradox were the origin and structure producing the aesthetic in Kim Young-rang(金永郞)"s poems.
