Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analize the present situation of sports psychology in Korea and a few foreign countries, and to help contribute to the further advancement of sports psychology. The result is as follows; 1. Our research activities for sports psychology fall behind such advanced countries as the United States and Japan. 2. Sports psychology is more important than any other sports science in what sports arena, but· sports psychology in our country is not developed enough on account of a variety of causes. 3. The study of sports psychology should be accelerated not through questionnaires and standardized tests, but through experimental methods.
