Abstract
1. In the medieval Korean language there are two forms of expression semantically equivalent to the Chinese conjunction 若(if): Form A is the native Korean whereas Form B is regarded as a result of the Chinese influence on Korean as far as its grammar is concerned. 2. Form B originated from the Yitoo and the Kukul, both of which had been formed by way of mixing the two langllage structures of Korean and Chinese.
