This paper overviews the problems involved in various Romanization schema of Korean Alphabets, and presents its own proposal of phonemic transcription. The majority of the schema including the standard versions of both South and North Koreas are established with the aim to achieve not phonemically but phonetically-correct transcriptions of Korean sounds into Roman alphabets. The underlying objective of the currently-standard way of phonetic transcription is to allow Westerners, especially English native speakers, to write and pronounce the Korean sounds as they are heard. The proposal of this paper is more interested in the linguistic intuition of Korean native speakers, one-to-one correspondence between Korean alphabets and Roman alphabets and rnaximum use of the Roman alphabets.ko_KR
