dc.description.abstract | It is proposed in this paper that C and I in German have strong lexical features as parameters. With relation to these strong (C, I) parameters in terms of the Minimalist Theory, or the Economy Theory, this paper runs as follows: the Minimalist Theory and German sentence structures are treated very briefly in section 1. In section 2, some problems of German word order are explained. In section 3, I have answered the questions-why should the subordinate word order (SOV) be the underlying word order in German and, why and how the derivational word orders (SVO, OVS, VSO) are generated from it. The answer is that the German language has a strong (C, I) system in its lexicon. In the final section, there are the conclusion and the resume. | ko_KR |
