어휘함수를 이용한 한국어 어휘 관계의 기술

Abstract

Recently, the task of describing the totality of lexical relations in a language has come to the fore. This paper discusses how the mechanism of lexical function, proposed by 1. Mel'cuk, can be used to describe the lexical relations in Korean. In section 2, we present the necessity of describing the totality of lexical relations from practical viewpoints, i.e. information retrieval, machine translation, and language teaching. In section 3, we point out the limits of previous studies on lexical relations. In sections 4-6, we introduce the concept and typology of lexical function. In section 7, we discuss how lexical functions can be applied to concrete examples of Korean. In appendix, the lexcial entry '눈(eye)' in the format of Explanatory Combinatorial Dictionary is presented.
