The Editors Note

Abstract

When we took over the editorial duties of the journal in the summer of 2006, we did so with a sense of hope and excitement. However, taking over the reins of a journal that has been in existence for over forty years and instituting some radical changes in its scope and publication schedule involved a certain amount of risk as well. As we put out the third issue of the 'new' Language Research, we feel that the bold initiative spear-headed by the Director of the Language Education Institute of Seoul National University, Ki-Sun Hong, when she approached us with the idea of a new direction for the journal, is bringing in some dividends.
