dc.description.abstract | This paper presents an analysis of the pitch patterns of native nouns of contemporary South Kyungsang Korean. Following DM Lee (2009) we maintain that South Kyungsang Korean has a pitch-accent system that co-exists with an initial tone register. To illustrate this we focus on monomorphemic nouns and the nature of tonal alternations found under suffixation. | ko_KR |
