- Abstract
- Grammatical theories have been known to provide organizing principles of English teaching content. The paper proposes that principled content organization is possible only when organizing principles are based on a grammar with explanatory adequacy. The article finds the possibilities of principled organization in the Principles-and-Parameters theory, as developed in Chomsky & Lasnik (1993) and Chomsky (1998).
