- Abstract
- Contemporary Korean Society has the characteristics of plural society. So there are
various types of students in schools. This diversity of students is generally caused by
the change of family-relationship from large families to nuclear families, the increase in
the number of one parent families, the noticeable distinction between the rich and the
poor, and the expansion of information society. If schools failed to manage the diversity
of students, the problems like "classroom collapse", harrassing others collectively, and
failing to adapt oneself to a plural society would be generated. So a school education,
especially a moral education should consider the diversity of students. To do this task,
the curriculum of moral education should organize the contents related with diversity of
students and society. The present curriculum of moral education doesn't consider the
diversity of students enough. And a moral teacher should consider the diversity of
students and teach students to approve others's position through role-taking and
cooperating learning. Role-taking teaching IS very useful for understanding others'
perspectives. Cooperating learning Increases the interaction among students. Role-taking
teaching and Cooperating learning would helpful to decrease the conflict among
students.
